About Elisa Kryskow, Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Education and Experience
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts and Utah. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO and my Master's Degree in Forensic and Counseling Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology in Boston, MA (now William James College). I gained clinical experience through my work as a Research Coordinator for the United States Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine and direct therapy experience as an outpatient mental health provider in both a women's state prison and a community mental health center prior to entering private practice.
Therapy Style and Specializations
In my private practice, located in Pittsfield, MA, I provide therapy to late adolescents and adults who experience both acute and chronic symptoms and behaviors that may affect their ability to lead the life they have desired for themselves. My work is highly collaborative; together we can facilitate a greater quality of life as we balance your unique view of your life with my objective viewpoint and training. My areas of speciality include symptom management for depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, stress management, and relationship effectiveness. I have received specialized Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) training and also work as a clinician for NOCD.
In order to best meet the unique needs of my clients, I approach each situation with thoughtfully applied interventions that are firmly grounded in clinical theory. To maintain a high standard of informed, ethical practice, I actively seek out and participate in continuing education workshops and trainings.
I strive to aid you in living the life you deserve.
