Therapy Services and Modalities offered
Consultation
I offer consultation services, which consist of 2-4 meetings where we will work together to clarify your hopes and concerns regarding psychotherapy. During the consultation, I will conduct an evaluation of your needs as well as begin gathering background information to create a treatment plan that will best meet your individual needs.
The consultation process is also an opportunity to see if you and I will work well together. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship between a therapist and a client is the root of successful treatment. If you are not confident that the type of therapy I provide will meet your needs I will refer you to other highly recommended counselors in the area.
Individual Psychotherapy
I offer both short-term and long-term individual psychotherapy. During the initial part of our work together we will work towards establishing your psychotherapy goals and begin determining what treatment modality will best meet these therapy goals. As you progress in therapy your goals and expectations may shift; therefore, I encourage an open dialogue between myself and my clients where you can feel free to share your opinions, experiences, and preferences with me. I believe that this collaborative aspect of therapy is very important so I will regularly check in with you to ensure that our work together continues to feels like it is meeting your needs.
